In the Beginning

This is a small, and yet sizeable enough for more than a fair glance, mixed media painting. I remember clearly how this little work came to be. All sweaty after a tennis match, a friend and I were talking about some of the different beliefs which are out there. Such subject, like politics, may be touchy for some people. We, of course, being excellent friends found the subject quite engaging; thus our conversation never represented a threat to either of us--even though we kept challenging our so-called educated opinions. Well, that very same day when I was alone in my studio, I started to work on a sketch for the painting. Voilà, the rest is history; In the Beginning was born with my dearest belief in mind and heart, art!
